Dear David,

Thank you for email.

In response to your questions about the Review I can confirm the following:

I requested the extension to the time frame for the Historical Abuse Systemic Review to allow the report of the review to be completed to my satisfaction.

The Minister confirmed his agreement to my request yesterday and has asked me to submit my report by 15th November 2007.

The remit of the review is unchanged. I will not be preparing an interim report.

I hope this information is helpful.

Kind regards,

Tom
